Photographing Flowers Focusing is crucial to a good flower photograph - if your shot is even slightly out of focus it will carry significantly less impact. Switch your camera to manual focusing mode and really take the time to get your flower as sharp as possible. If your camera doesn't offer manual focusing, use macro mode so that you can keep your flower in focus even at very close range. Open your aperture wide to throw the background out of focus. This will draw the attention towards the flower, creating a more engaging, intimate photo.

I sure hope 2010 has started off well for you. If I have to be honest, from a business standpoint I am glad 2009 is over. It was only the 2nd year in our 15 years of business that we had a decrease in sales. Now that I have that off my chest, let’s look to the future in a positive light. We have started confirming our school contracts for the 2010-2011 school year and it looks like we will go forward with every one of them. This is a blessing. We have just announced Ezell’s Top Model 2010. Congratulations to Ashleigh Williamson, a 2008 Newton High School graduate who now attends Georgia Perimeter College. We are very proud to have Ashleigh represent Ezell’s Studios. Gabrielle Guider was runner up and Olivia Wasdin was third. This year we also had a People’s Choice which was determined by online voting. Peyton Farrish was the winner and also came in 4th with the judges. Congratulations to all the winners and thank you again to all the girls who participated. It was a lot of fun and I believe everyone had beautiful pictures. Also, thank you to our generous sponsors. They are: Stoneybrook Productions, Southern Charms of Madison, Bliss Wedding Magazine, LaVie Health & Healing and Serendipity. Oh! Before I forget – which I won’t – and before I lose your attention…… I am so excited about something new that is coming to our area through Ezell’s Studios. It is exciting to us and will be A LOT of fun for you. Stay tuned and check our website in the next few weeks. We will be letting you know more by early March. Now back to the here and now. Before you know it a lot of you will have Seniors to graduate from high school. Some have not had 2010 senior portraits taken and we would like to take care of that for you. Others have had them taken but have not ordered pictures or graduation announcements. Time is running out. Below you will find a special for 2010 Senior portraits taken last year and examples of custom graduation announcements. Our goal has always been and continues to be – We want to be your family’s photographer. Please let us know how we can serve you.
Sincerely,

Gina Swords We are very proud to recognize a young lady in our community who has done a wonderful thing for some very special students. Gina Swords is a special education teacher at Heritage High School. She thought it would be a good idea to organize a prom for the special ed students at the school. It would be called the Winter Ball and the theme was Dancing with Our Stars. A lot of people come up with good ideas but Gina actually went to work to make it happen. She had prom gowns and tuxedos donated for the evening. Then flowers and food and music and pictures and decorations were offered. Other students and teachers and community members wanted to be involved. Ezell’s is very proud that we were allowed to participate as well. At the end of the night there were lots of smiles, a few tears, a new Prom Queen and King and a memory that won’t soon be forgotten. It was truly a magical event for every person in attendance. We all thank Gina for her leadership and especially for her heart. |
