I hope you had a great Thanksgiving and got to enjoy some time with your loved ones. It seems like a long time since our last newsletter. There is a lot on my mind but I will try to keep it brief.
Sheila and I, along with our youngest son and his family all went to Alabama (ROLL TIDE!) to spend Thanksgiving with my family and had a great time. Part of the fun was taking pictures of my niece, Loren, at a few areas local to Huntsville. She is the pretty brunette in our Featured Photos. Both of my parents are still alive and pretty good shape which is a great blessing.
In October and November we successfully photographed over 500 families for First Baptist Church of Conyers and Crossroads United Methodist Church’s pictorial directories. It was a lot of fun and everything went like clock work. We have received many positive comments about the portraits they received.
For years Ezell’s Studios has been very involved with the schools. I had a special event happen at Heritage High School in November. My oldest granddaughter Ashley was in the musical “Annie”. I know how awesome these kids and productions are because of the photos I’ve taken over the years. If you have not been to one of the high school productions you are missing out on some great quality entertainment. Think about going the next opportunity you get.
I would like to include one paragraph of advertising in this portion of the newsletter. We have two graphic artists on staff. They are Kristen and Melissa. They do a phenomenal job. For years we have offered photo restoration, business cards, wedding albums, ads and photo enhancement. In the last couple of years we have been putting together whole books, magazines, pamphlets and other products where graphic design is needed. These two ladies do a great job and if you have a need I wish you would give us a try. (Commercial over)
We use this time of year to plan for the future of Ezell’s Studios and would like to get some input from you. What kind of photography needs do you have or want that we do not currently offer? If you have a special request we would like to hear it. If you think a certain background would be popular we would like to know it. We are trying to finalize our planning for 2009 and would like your suggestions whether it is about pricing, business hours, customer service, quality of our work, etc. We are trying to become a better photography company and your opinion is greatly appreciated. My email address is gary@ezellsstudios.com .
Since the day Sheila and I started Ezell’s Studios I have always wanted to be your personal photographer the same as you have a family doctor or dentist. It has been a great relationship with those families where we are looked at in that way and we are looking for more of those special relationships.
Thank you for supporting us. We received the Reader’s Choice award again this year and are very grateful. You have blessed our lives and I hope we are able to do the same for you.
I look forward to your feedback.
Sincerely,
|

Stephanie Schmitt Stephanie is a 2005 graduate of Salem High School after which she started working with us each summer as one of our Ezell’s Girls while attending college. Stephanie began her college career at Berry College in Rome, GA as a finance major. Then in 2007 she transferred to Georgia State University where she had the wonderful opportunity to study abroad for 6 weeks in Spain this past summer. So unfortunately we had to manage with out her. But we were delighted when upon Stephanie's return she decided to rejoin the staff as a year round employee. She has gained much experience over the years which makes her new duty of running the front office come easily. Her intelligence and customer service skills are invaluable.
"I had a great time in Spain and learned so much about the Spanish culture. I loved my "madre" and being forced to practice my Spanish! But I've definitely had my fill of ham!" |
